Paychex Corporate Contributions Program

While Paychex employees contribute to many programs and organizations around the country, Paychex focuses its corporate contributions exclusively on the Rochester, NY area. There are no general restrictions on the type of organization or program supported, but preference is given to initiatives that will improve the quality of life in the community. Some examples of these initiatives include programs designed to:

  • Combat alcohol and drug abuse, particularly in teens.
  • Provide economic development and social services to needy families.
  • Reduce dropout rates and encourage improved academic performance.
  • Combat hunger and homelessness.
  • Provide services to individuals dealing with physical or mental disabilities.

Paychex does not support:

  • Fundraising events.
  • Sports teams.
  • Initiatives that benefit a single individual or a small group of individuals.

Requests for support are reviewed once per month. Formal requests will receive a written response.

Requirements for Requests

All requests must be in writing. The request should describe:

  • The nature of the project or program.
  • The need to be addressed by this project or program.
  • The target group to be served, including the approximate number of people, and the process for identifying those to be helped.
  • The amount of support requested.
  • The amount and source of other funds for this initiative.
  • The past success of the program and plans for measuring future effectiveness.

A financial summary for the organization's most recent fiscal year is required for any request for $1,000 or more.
