Vice President, Human Resource Services Sales
Michael Majors is the Vice President of Human Resource Services (HRS) Sales for Paychex, a role he assumed in December 2021. As the leader of HRS Sales, Majors is responsible for strategic planning, revenue attainment, and cost control for HR outsourcing, insurance, and retirement services.
Majors joined Paychex in 2005 as a District Sales Manager until he was promoted to Director of Sales in 2012 overseeing the West Coast HRS & HR Services market. In 2017 Majors advanced to lead Western US Retirement Sales until 2018, when he was promoted to Director of Mid-Market Sales. Majors continued to make strides in the company and was promoted to Senior Director of Sales for Retirement Services. His team propelled Paychex to rank as the largest 401(k) recordkeeper by total number of plans, according to PLANSPONSOR magazine. Majors remained in this position until he was promoted to his current role as Vice President of HRS Sales.
Since assuming his role as Vice President of HRS Sales, Majors has taken pride in leading the entire sales organization’s DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives and has led the Paychex United Way Campaign for Sales nationally. An accomplished and proven leader, Majors firmly believes that each of us has no limits other than the ones we place on ourselves.
Prior to Paychex, Majors spent 14 years working in sales roles for various tech startups, most recently as CEO at US Computer Solutions in Southern California. As CEO, Majors made strategic business operations improvements while increasing annual sales.
Majors grew up in Montana, where he developed a love for the outdoors as an avid camper and fly-fisherman. He earned a private pilot’s license at a young age and enjoys operating both engine and glider planes. Major’s talents span into the arts, and he is a lifelong pianist.
