Here are a few influential HR leaders whose work you may want to follow:

@MeghanMBiro – Meghan M. Biro is a speaker at this year's SHRM conference and a globally recognized Talent Management and HR Tech brand strategist, analyst, digital catalyst, author, and speaker. As founder and CEO of TalentCulture, she has worked with hundreds of companies to help them recruit top talent. She contributes to media outlets such as Forbes, Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, and many others on HR and workplace topics.

@DavidKovacovich – Employee engagement is a hot topic, and it can be hard to find the latest science-driven thinking on the topic. San Francisco-based David Kovacovich is an engagement strategist who shares some of the leading ideas on this topic. He approaches HR issues from an organizational culture and behavioral economics perspective as well. His weekly blog dispatches have covered everything from the hiring process to managing the exit process from a cultural perspective.

@JMillerMerrell - Jessica Miller-Merrell is the host of the Workology podcast, which explores topics such as the future of Gen Z in the workplace, what the job boards of the future will look like, and whether your company should have an autism recruiting program. She's been named a Forbes Top 50 Social Media Power User, founded Blogging4Jobs, and is a noted HR, recruiting, and workplace advocate.

@amyjcuddy – Amy Cuddy, Ph.D. is a Harvard professor and social psychologist. Specifically, her research focuses on how adopting powerful, expansive postures (imagine Wonder Woman) helps individuals be more present in high-pressure situations. Doing so can change their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and physiology, and impacts how well—or poorly—people perform in job interviews and beyond. Her work is fascinating, and she shares some of the field's most important research.

@SHRMSVPAitken – Michael P. Aitken has been with SHRM since 2003, and serves as the organization's Vice President of Government Affairs. His guidance on how the broader regulatory environment impacts HR public policy can help companies master an important component of the larger compliance discussion.

@RealEvilHRLady- Suzanne Lucas, the self-styled "Real Evil HR Lady," is demystifying HR queries one at a time. Her frank style and willingness to talk about tough issues make her a must-follow for HR professionals that want real insights on some of HR's most difficult challenges.

@lruettimann - Laurie Ruettimann is a former HR leader who speaks and writes on HR issues. Her focus on HR as a strategic partner, as well as business insights and risk mitigation, provide a deeper perspective and real thought leadership.

@sharlyn_lauby - Sharlyn Lauby runs the blog The HR Bartender, where she approaches HR issues in a friendly, easy-going way. Her areas of focus include how to be a better leader, increasing employee engagement, and providing strategic career advice.
