Paychex Tops One Million Worksite Employees

December 01, 2016

Paychex, Inc., a leading provider of integrated human capital management solutions for payroll, HR, retirement, and insurance services, today announced that it now serves more than one million worksite employees, the most among human resource service providers for small and mid-sized businesses. The figure includes worksite employees of Paychex HR Services clients, all of whom subscribe either to the Paychex Professional Employer Organization (PEO); Paychex HR Solutions, the company’s administrative services organization (ASO); or Paychex HR Essentials.

“We’re extremely proud of this milestone, which is another sign of our leadership in the HR outsourcing industry,” said Paychex president and CEO Martin Mucci. “Employers continue to put their faith in Paychex as an HR expert to help identify and solve today’s human resource challenges and serve their most valuable asset: their employees.”

Paychex HR Services is designed to shift many of the burdens of everyday human resource activities off employers so they can focus on growing their business. Clients are assigned a dedicated HR professional called a human resources generalist, or HRG. Available to meet onsite, the HRG helps clients navigate obligations related to Federal and state regulations, and supports  employers with workforce functions such as hiring, training, and workplace safety.

“Our HR professionals stay current on ever-changing human resource requirements to provide informed and reliable best practices that help businesses with human capital management,” said Mucci. “Business owners need an HR partner they can trust, and our HRGs deliver a level of personalized service that’s unique to Paychex.”

Through an administrative co-employment relationship, clients of the Paychex PEO also gain the freedom of outsourced employee benefits management, which positions business owners to deliver high-value benefits to employees to help attract and retain top talent.
