A Legacy of Learning: Paychex Ranks Among Top 125 Training Organizations for 17th Straight Year, Ascends to No. 14
Delivering more than one million training hours to its nearly 14,000 employees last fiscal year, Paychex, Inc., a leading provider of integrated human capital management solutions for payroll, HR, retirement, and insurance services, has been recognized as one of the Top 125 training organizations by Training magazine for the 17th consecutive year. The company landed at number 14 this year, jumping up six spots from 2017.
“Training excellence was a founding principle at Paychex when we started doing business in 1971, and we remain just as steadfast in our commitment to learning and development more than four decades later,” said vice president of human resources and organizational development Laurie Zaucha. “From new employee orientation to job-specific training and soft-skills development, we have programs designed to help our employees grow – from their very first day on the job and throughout their careers. Not only does this help our organization thrive, it’s an investment that we pass on to our clients through a workforce of knowledgeable employees who are prepared to deliver the very best service.”
In fiscal 2017, Paychex’s Learning and Development Center delivered more than 305,000 instructor-led training hours at the company’s corporate headquarters in Rochester, N.Y., where Paychex features 11 training rooms with state-of-the-art equipment, and more than 110,000 virtual instructor-led training hours. Employees completed more than 120,000 hours of self-study work prior to instructor-led programs, 309,000 online module hours, and 147,000 manager-led training hours across the company’s 100+ field locations.
Paychex empowers its employees to embrace a career-long approach to learning and development with 12 ongoing training libraries, a professional development program, and Paychex TV, which includes a collection of more than 500 training videos.
The Top 125 ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
