Paychex Named One of the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles

For the sixth time, Paychex has been honored by the National Business Group on Health (NBGH) for its ongoing commitment to promoting a healthy work environment and encouraging employees to live healthier lifestyles. Paychex, a leading provider of payroll, human resource, insurance, and benefits outsourcing solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses, received a Gold Award for creating cultural and environmental changes that support employees in their lifestyle and behavior changes.

Paychex was among 64 U.S. employers that received the 2015 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles®award at the Leadership Summit sponsored by the NBGH’s Institute of Innovation in Workforce Well-being.

The company’s nearly eight-year old Active Health program includes socially-based multi-week wellness challenges; best-in-class tobacco cessation options; partnership with community supported agriculture; blood pressure kiosks; sit/stand workstations; healthy and favorably priced food in cafeterias and vending machines; incentive gift cards that can be used for Amazon.com or donations to Habitat for Humanity; flu shots; voluntary on-site health screenings; an innovative evidence-based weight management program; and measurable positive outcomes related to health risk, workforce engagement, productivity, and satisfaction.

Tracy Volkmann

Tracy Volkmann began working at Paychex in July 2014 and currently serves as the public relations program manager. In this role, she is responsible for research PR efforts, as well as all publicity for the company's technology solution, Paychex Flex, and supporting overall goals of the public relations department. Tracy is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University and has a background in collegiate athletic communications, having spent seven years at West Point.
