Enhanced Paychex Affordable Care Act Solution to Reduce Administrative Burden for Clients in 2016

Paychex ESR Enhancements 2016

After filing millions of Forms 1095-C this past year to help business owners comply with the Employer Shared Responsibility (ESR) provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Paychex, Inc., a leading provider of human capital management solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses, has enhanced its ESR services offering to reduce the administrative burden for clients in 2016.

This filing season, clients of the Paychex ESR Services will have access to an all-new online dashboard which will serve as a convenient, one-stop location for predictive workforce analysis and risk monitoring, as well as year-end reporting functions. With quick and easy access to the necessary payroll and benefits data, employers will spend less time tracking down information and more time running their business.

“Because of the demand we experienced for this service in 2015, and the demand that continues today, we’ve increased our investment to enhance both the technology and service of this product,” said Kevin Hill, vice president of insurance and HR services at Paychex.

The client service experience is centered on timely and effective communication. Clients of Paychex ESR Services can expect proactively scheduled touchpoints with their dedicated ESR Services representative to review their year-end summary report—to verify that it contains all the required information and make any necessary updates—and discuss year-end filing responsibilities.

While Paychex ESR Services will remain available as a stand-alone product, clients can take advantage of the fully integrated solution by also offering employees health insurance coverage through Paychex—either via the Paychex Insurance Agency, Paychex Flex Benefits Administration through BeneTrac, or the Paychex PEO.

“Employers who offer health insurance coverage through Paychex won’t need to take the extra step of providing benefits updates to Paychex for the purpose of ESR reporting,” explained Kevin Mcguire, director of health and benefit insurance operations. “We’ll continually track their most up-to-date benefits information in our system, and that becomes one less thing for them to worry about during year-end.”

With its 2016 ESR services offering, Paychex reaffirms its commitment to helping business owners understand and manage the constantly changing regulatory environment.
