Paychex Named One of the 2014 Best Companies to Work for in New York State

Paychex, Inc., a leading provider of payroll, human resource, insurance, and benefits outsourcing solutions for America’s small- and medium-sized businesses, has been named one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York State for 2014. At an awards dinner on May 6, 2014, the company will learn its rank among 28 companies in the category of large-sized employers with 250 or more U.S. employees. Among Paychex’s 12,500 employees nationwide, approximately 4,500 work at offices in New York State, at locations including Rochester, Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse, Binghamton, and the metropolitan New York area.

The rankings were based on two components: an employee survey that focused on leadership and planning; corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; relationship with supervisor; training and development; pay and benefits; and overall engagement, and an employer questionnaire focused on company policies, practices, and demographics.

Paychex president and chief executive officer Martin Mucci said, “We are proud of the fact that our employees voted us a best place to work.
